Normally, the PROM is simply transferred from the defective computer to the replacement unit, but sometimes this is not possible. The PROM might not be available because the computer was stolen or lost from fire, flood or an accident.

This is where we come in. Simply phone or fax us your application or PROM information and we’ll get it out to you that same day. Another reason for replacing your old PROM is drivability problems. Sometimes all that is needed is a minor correction in the unit’s software. This is very common and can be corrected with an updated PROM.

Similar to the PROM replacement program, but for new OBD II ECM/PCM that don’t have a removable PROM. These units have what is known as a FLASH PROM. This basically means that the software can be changed or updated without removing any components from the unit. All you have to do is send the unit in with the necessary information and it will be returned the same day.
